Terms of sale & use
These terms govern buying and using Sumrex. They include the information we must give you before you buy (the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013), your right to cancel, and the specific terms of digital content. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.

1. Who you are contracting with
Your contract for any Sumrex plan or the Evidence Readiness Review is with:
Chronix Health Group LtdRegistered in England & Wales, company no. 16663224
ICO registration no. ZB962513
Registered office: 11-13 Upper High Street, Epsom, Surrey, KT17 4QY
Trading as Sumrex. Contact: support@sumrex.app
Not registered for VAT — prices carry no VAT and none is added at checkout.
2. What you are buying — plans and prices
The main characteristics and the total price of each plan are set out below. All prices are in pounds sterling and inclusive of tax — we are not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added. There are no setup fees and no charges beyond the price shown.
Subscription plans are billed each month (or each year where an annual price is shown) until you cancel, and payment is taken by our payment processor, Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically; you can cancel at any time from your account, effective at the end of the period you have paid for.
Before a subscription renews, we remind you. Before any subscription renews automatically we email you a reminder: 30 and 7 days before an annual renewal, and 7 days before a monthly one. The reminder states the amount, the date it will be taken, what it is for, and how to cancel. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
Who the consumer rights below apply to. The 14-day cancellation right and the other Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 rights in sections 4 to 7 apply to the consumer plans — Self-Employed Carer, Light Family, PA Employer and PA Employer Plus. The Organisation Readiness subscription and the Evidence Readiness Review are sold to care organisations for business use; the consumer cancellation regime does not apply to them, though we still confirm every purchase in writing and the review's digital-content terms (section 5) still hold.
3. How a contract is formed, and your confirmation
A contract is formed when we confirm your subscription or purchase after payment. As soon as it is concluded we send confirmation of the contract — these terms and what you bought — to your account email. That email is your durable copy; please keep it. You can also read these terms here at any time.
4. Your 14-day right to cancel (consumer plans)
This section applies to the consumer plans (Self-Employed Carer, Light Family, PA Employer and PA Employer Plus). Because you buy Sumrex online, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of the day the contract is concluded, without giving a reason. To cancel within this period, tell us before the 14 days end — either from your account (Billing → cancel) or by emailing support@sumrex.app. You can use the model cancellation form below, but you don't have to — any clear statement will do. We will refund you within 14 days of being told.
If you ask us to start your subscription within the 14-day period (for example by beginning to use the paid features straight away), and you then cancel within the period, we may keep an amount in proportion to the service used up to the point you told us — the rest is refunded. At checkout we ask you to make that request expressly and to acknowledge its effect on this right, and we keep a dated record of it.
(Complete and return this form only if you wish to cancel the contract.)
To Chronix Health Group Ltd, 11-13 Upper High Street, Epsom, Surrey, KT17 4QY, support@sumrex.app:
I/We [*] hereby give notice that I/We [*] cancel my/our [*] contract for the supply of the following service: [your Sumrex plan], ordered on [date].
Name of consumer(s): __________ · Address of consumer(s): __________ · Date: __________
[*] Delete as appropriate.
Cancelling is as easy as subscribing. You can end a subscription yourself from Billing in your account in a couple of taps — no phone call, no retention maze, no reason required.
5. The Evidence Readiness Review — digital content and waiver
The Evidence Readiness Review is a one-off purchase that unlocks digital content — your full report — immediately on payment, so you can use it straight away.
At checkout you will be asked to agree, expressly, that: (a) you want the report supplied immediately, before the 14-day cancellation period ends; and (b) you understand that once it has been supplied you lose your 14-day right to cancel it. This is the consent and acknowledgement the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 require for digital content. If you would rather keep your cancellation right, do not agree — the free self-assessment and teaser remain available, and you can buy later.
None of this limits your rights if the report is faulty or not as described.
6. Cancelling and refunds
Outside the 14-day period, you can cancel a subscription at any time; it stops renewing and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not otherwise refund part-months. If you think you are entitled to a refund — for example because a feature did not work as described — email us and we will put it right.
7. Using Sumrex responsibly, and what Sumrex never does
Sumrex prepares figures and paperwork from the information you enter. You remain responsible for your own filings and decisions: Sumrex is not your payroll agent, does not file to HMRC for you, never holds your money, and gives no legal, tax or financial advice. Please keep your account details secure.
These four promises are part of your contract, not just our marketing. Sumrex never matches, introduces, ranks or recommends a carer — there is no directory, no search and no register. It never assesses a carer's suitability — you find and choose your carer yourself. It never holds or moves your money. And it never files to HMRC as your agent— you file under your own Government Gateway. If anything in these terms ever appears to say otherwise, these promises prevail.
The document library. Sumrex includes step-by-step wizards that prepare everyday documents from your own answers. On these, plainly: Sumrex is not a law firm and is not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Sumrex does not provide legal advice. These documents are prepared from your own answers to fixed questions. Using this service creates no lawyer-client relationship, so nothing you enter is protected by legal professional privilege. There is no warranty that a document suits your circumstances, or that it reflects statutory change since the template was last reviewed. The output depends entirely on the accuracy of what you type, and Sumrex accepts no liability for omissions, typos or contradictions in your answers. These documents are prepared for the law of England and Wales only.
8. Data protection and processing
For direct consumer accounts and the consumer processing described in our privacy notice, Chronix Health Group Ltd is the controller. The initial care-information feature is only for an adult aged 18 or over who has capacity, receives the notice and personally gives explicit, recorded consent. Do not create child or lacks-capacity records or rely on kinship, attorney/deputy status or a general emergency justification unless a later product release expressly supports a lawful route.
An organisation may be controller for content in a separately contracted module where Sumrex acts only on its documented instructions. In that case the module-specific data-processing terms apply. A contract label does not change the role where the actual purposes and control point the other way.
9. Your statutory rights, and the law that applies
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. These terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the law of England and Wales. See our legal & company information for our registered particulars and how to complain.
